Level Best Concrete Flooring, innovation leaders in the industrial concrete flooring market in the UK, were appointed by a new customer to supply and construct this mezzanine concrete floor slab in Preston, Lancashire as part of a larger coloured concrete floor contract.
Loose rebar and A252 mesh was pre-set by Level Best’s specialist Site Preparation team prior to C40 ready-mixed concrete arriving the following day from one of Breedon’s North-West batching plants. The concrete wagons backed onto a concrete boom pump which pumped the concrete up to Level Best’s Slab Construction Team on the mezzanine deck, allowing them to expertly lay and compact the concrete and apply the black dry-shake coloured topping.
The slab was finished by Level Best’s two powerfloating teams, ensuring the black dry-shake topping was worked sufficiently into the slab leaving a uniformed coloured concrete floor. A hardening curing agent and dust-proofing sealant was applied to leave a high-quality finish.
The completion of this black floor adds another coloured concrete floor slab to Level Best’s ever expanding portfolio of high-quality coloured concrete floors. Level Best Concrete Flooring will then be moving downstairs to supply and construct approximately 2,500m2 of red coloured concrete flooring.
