Level Best Concrete Flooring has completed the installation of the cast insitu concrete floor slabs at this new development of industrial units in the heart of South Yorkshire.
Due to the requirement for insulation to be provided beneath the floors, Level Best selected their Somero S940 laser screed machine in conjunction with a mobile pump in order to construct the concrete floors to the tolerance of FM3 as per TR34 2013 edition. The concrete floors were all laid to the depth of 150mm and reinforced with 1 layer of steel fabric mesh positioned in the bottom of the slab. Sawn induced joints were installed by the industrial concrete flooring contractor at regular centres to cater for contraction of the concrete and subsequently sealed with saw cut joint sealant.
The entire flooring package was carried out over a two week period and the Level Best team look forward to working with the main contractor on a similar scheme in the North-East of England.
