Following the successful construction of an industrial concrete floor slab for GH Kime’s new transport and distribution warehouse in 2019, Level Best Concrete Flooring has return to Sleaford, Lincolnshire to construct a new concrete floor slab as part the growing distribution company’s warehouse extension.
Level Best’s scope of works commenced with the final regulating trimming of the sub base stone (pictured below). The inhouse sub base preparation team utilise a Bobcat T-650 and 7-tonne roller to achieve a highly accurate +/-15mm sub base tolerance. The final regulating trim is carried out in advance of the slab preparation team who will isolate all columns with a typical anti-crack detail and pre-set all permanent steel armoured galvanised joint.
The slab installation team mobilised to site in Sleaford, Lincolnshire to construct a heavy-duty industrial slab which constituted a 1200 gauge polythene slip membrane, 2-layers of A393 reinforcing mesh and a 200mm thick concrete slab. The slabs were constructed utilising the Ligchine laser screed to a TR34 4th Edition FM1 tolerance and finished by Level Best’s sequential powerfloat finishing teams to the highest of standards.
The construction of this specification-compliant floor represents another successful completed contract between Level Best Concrete Flooring and the Main Contractor.
