Level Best Concrete Flooring, the specialist industrial concrete flooring contractor from Yorkshire, has completed the full design and build of an industrial concrete floor on behalf of a new client in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Level Best’s Subbase operate in advance carrying out the final regulating subbase blinding. The team utilise a Bobat subbase leveller to blind the Type 1 subbase with a finer material to close the surface and improve slab performance. The Slab Preparation Team work in advance carrying out anti-crack column isolation details and mild and galvanised construction joint installation to ensure optimal slab performance.
The total warehouse floor area of circa 2,750m² plus the ancillary first floor office and undercroft area was completed by Level Best in four installation days over two separate visits to site. The ancillary first floor office and undercroft areas were constructed with pumped and hand laying methods, whilst the warehouse concrete floor slab was constructed utilising the larger Somero laser screed. Both slabs were given a powerfloat surface finish.
Early feedback from the client indicated how pleased they were with the slab, especially given the record temperatures that were reached in Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire that day. The compliance of the floor and the quality of the powerfloat finish were singled out despite the temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius with the warehouse.
