Level Best Concrete Flooring has completed the installation of another food factory concrete floor slab, this time in Burton On Trent near Nottingham.
The ground conditions were extremely variable and hence the floor slab was part piled and part ground bearing. Level Best’s vast experience on concrete flooring design helped to agree both quick and cost effective flooring design solutions for the food producing client. A bespoke stainless steel construction joint was installed to create the falls in each production bay and also isolate the areas between ground bearing and suspended floor slabs.
The stainless steel construction joints and steel reinforcement all had to be installed in advance of the concrete floor pours and so the initial setting up times took far longer than the pouring of the concrete to complex falls. Level Best completed this food factory concrete floor slab over a two week period and now go onto commencing the installation of another food factory concrete floor in Boston, Lincolnshire.
