Level Best Concrete Flooring the industrial concrete flooring contractors based in Yorkshire has carried out the installation of the new concrete floor slab for a high bay warehouse on behalf of major client Howdens Joinery at their Howden headquarters near Goole. The floor area of 2,000m2 was cast over three consecutive days to the flatness tolerance of DM3 as per TR34 2013 edition utilising the Somero SXP laser screed concrete floor levelling machine. Level Best were also responsible for the installation and compaction of the final 50mm layer of sub base installed beneath the 225mm deep floor slab by the laser controlled sub base levelling machine.

As well as the steel profile construction joints the floor received sawn induced contraction joints at regular centres to control the shrinkage of the floor slab during the drying and curing periods.  All works were complete don time and within budget and the main contractor has placed further orders with Level Best on other projects.
