Level Best Concrete Flooring, the industrial concrete flooring contractor from Yorkshire, has designed and constructed this concrete floor slab for a new production facility and office building on behalf of dB Broadcast in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
The floor slab was laid using the Somero laser screed, skilled concreting team and the use of a mobile concrete pump. The initial floor slab design was carried out in conjunction with the main contractors engineer, the Sprigg Little Partnership from Birmingham. Floor joints were located in strategic positions to avoid the client’s racking Leg installation and other key interfaces within the building.
With ready-mix concrete supplied via Hanson’s local batching plant and floor joints from RCR Permaban, Level Best installed the floor to the flatness tolerance of FM2 as per TR34 2003 edition. The installation of the sawn induced floor joints was carried out the following day and the joints were subsequently sealed with saw cut joint sealant.
This is the second project Level Best Concrete Flooring has carried out in Ely in the last two months and this is an area of the country where the concrete flooring contractors are looking to expand further with new clients.
