Warehouse floor extension in Swindon, Wiltshire

Level Best Concrete Flooring the laser screed industrial concrete floor laying contractors has completed the design and construction of a 55,000 square feet warehouse concrete floor slab in Swindon, Wiltshire. The floor was laid over 4 consecutive days utilising the Somero laser screed and the concrete floor laying and polishing teams. Details of the warehouse concrete floor slab are itemised below:

Concrete supplier – Cemex Materials UK
Slab depth – 175mm with 1 layer of A193 steel fabric
Construction joints – RCR Permaban
Sub base construction – Level Best bobcat laser grader
Laser screed – Somero SXP

Level Best Concrete Flooring were contracted to install the final 50mm of sub base material using their laser controlled dub base levelling machine to extremely tight tolerances. An independent flooring surveyor verified the level tolerances of the sub base were as per the clients requirements. Level Best followed on with the isolation of the columns and the installation of the steel profile construction joints in advance of the construction of the cast insitu concrete floor slab. Once the floor slab had been cast and the floor polishing completed, Level Best then installed the sawn induced floor joints an Sawcut Seal joint sealant.
