Concrete flooring contractors Level Best Concrete Flooring from Goole in Yorkshire has recently carried out this ground floor concrete floor slab for a new industrial unit on the outskirts of Arbroath.
The concrete floor was constructed to a depth of 150mm and reinforced with 1 layer of steel fabric reinforcement. Concrete was supplied by the local readymix supplier from Arbroath Geddes. The supply from Geddes was excellent and the last load of concrete reached site at approximately 3 pm. One hour later and the Level Best concreting team set sail for the next days work in Bedford. In the meantime the concrete finishing team commenced their operations in order to provide a fully polished and powerfloated surface to the concrete slab. The powerfloating operations completed around 3am giving enough time for the equipment to be transported through the night and arrive safely in Bedford in preparation for the next concrete pour.
The slab was spray cured with a Sika dust inhibiting compound which also helps to protect the surface and retain moisture during the floor curing process. The saw cutting team then induced the sawn joints and sales them using Level Best Sawcut Seal to protect the arris edge of each joint.
