Level Best Concrete Flooring has recently completed an overlay concrete floor slab in Didcot, Oxfordshire

Level Best Concrete Flooring has recently completed an overlay concrete floor slab in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The new floor slab was bonded to the old floor using a high strength bonding agent with extra strong capabilities to ensure the client doesn’t experience any problems with the floor lifting in the future.

Permanent steel construction joints were installed between the various sections of the floor to minimise the chance of slab edge breakdown under heavy trafficking from fork lift trucks. The concrete supplied by Breedon contained a microsilica additive to increase the early age strength of the concrete targeted at 40n/mm2 after just 2 days curing time. The concrete was laid utilising a mobile concrete pump and also using the industrial concrete flooring contractors Somero laser screed concrete floor laying machine.

Sawn induced joints were cut and sealed using Sawcut Seal joint sealant. The joint sealant helps protect the sawn joints and stops debris ingress at the same time.

Level Best Concrete Flooring completed this floor slab overlay project in a working programme of 9 days excluding weekend working.
