The current boom in the commercial and industrial warehousing market is having a positive impact on the Lincolnshire area, hence why a new customer contacted Level Best Concrete Flooring, the industrial concrete flooring contractor from Yorkshire, to install the cast insitu concrete floor slabs for these high-spec speculative commercial units in Boston, Lincolnshire.
The concrete floor slab comprises of a polythene anti-slip membrane, concrete spacers, 1-layer of A252 steel fabric reinforcing mesh, protective steel strips at roller shutter doorways, C35 ready-mixed concrete, dust-proofing curing agent, sawn free movement joints and saw cut joint sealant.
The slab was constructed over two days. A setting-up team pre-set all polythene, spacers, mesh and protective steel strips prior to the concrete floor laying team arriving. The concrete was then pumped into the units with a line pump and cast utilising Level Best’s very own ride-on Somero laser screed and finished with ride-on and walk-behind powerfloats.
The customer commented how “professional” Level Best conducted themselves and has already placed an order for some additional external concreting works.
