Level Best Concrete Flooring, the industrial concrete flooring specialist from Goole East-Yorkshire, were contracted to supply and install another new cast insitu floor slab at The Trade Yard, Scunthorpe, North Lincs.
The industrial concrete floor slab comprised of Level Best’s anti-crack column isolations, laying and taping gas membrane, 1-layer of A193 steel fabric reinforcing mesh, protective steel joint at roller shutter doorways, C40 ready-mixed concrete, dust-proofing curing agent, sawn free movement joints and saw cut sealant.
Concrete was delivered from Tarmac’s Scunthorpe batching plant and was compacted and levelled utilising Level Best’s laser-guided laser screed and finished with ride-on and walk-behind powerfloats.
After installing a slab the previous year at The Trade Yard for the same Contractor, the Director stated that “your slab in Unit 18 was very well received by our tenants (Howdens Joinery), to the point where they actually didn’t paint the floor, which they normally do.”
