Level Best Concrete Flooring the industrial concrete flooring contractors based in Yorkshire has just completed the removal and replacement of 800m2 of external concrete hardstanding in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The concrete slabs were damaged and unusable and required removing extremely carefully and safely to minimise disruption to the clients activities. The terminal in Daventry is in operation 24 hours a day and hence Level Best have to carry out the Floor removal works on the live site. Traffic management plans and site compounds are updated to suit the terminal operators workload.
The original concrete slab is 300mm thick and steel reinfoced. Level Best double the reinforcement in the new floors and drill and fix 30mm diameter steel bars to each perimeter face. The concrete is high strength and quick setting to allow the terminal operator to use the areas within 4 days from handover.
