Yorkshire-based Level Best Concrete Flooring has recently carried out the construction of two new suspended concrete floor slabs as part of a local development in Boston, Lincolnshire for two new industrial units.
Level Best’s scope of works started with the supply and installation of two layers of A393 mesh reinforcement and associated loose rebar. Level Best called on their specialist steel fixing operatives to ensure all steel was pre-set installed as per the fully suspended jointless floor slab design.
The floor slab installation team then mobilised to Boston, Lincolnshire to carry out the construction of the two new 300mm deep industrial concrete floors. The concrete floor installation team utilised traditional hand lay and mobile concrete pump methods due to access restrictions, constructing the industrial floors to a FM2 surface tolerance as per TR34 4th Edition.
The floor slab was given a full powerfloat surface finish and subsequently sealed with a curing and sealing solution, integrated to control curing and shrinkage and to leave a dust-proof easy-maintain floor surface.
This is Level Best’s first of two pile-supported industrial concrete flooring contracts in Boston, Lincolnshire, with the floor specialists returning to work on behalf of another repeat client in a months time.
