Yorkshire-based industrial concrete flooring specialists Level Best Concrete Flooring has recently made a positive start on their latest industrial development on a new multi-purpose business park in Telford, Shropshire.
Level Best were contracted by a new client to carry out the design and construction of 6 new speculative industrial units in Telford. Level Best’s technical team appointed a structural engineer from Tamworth, Staffordshire to carry out the floor slab design, drawings and calculations incorporating all client driven requirements such as perimeter and underside of slab insulation, galvanised doorway details and full powerfloat slabs.
Level Best’s in-house slab preparation team carried out all insulation pre-installation, column isolation details, anti-crack mesh squares and galvanised doorway angles prior to this slab installation in Telford, Shropshire as per the design and client’s requirements.
The Slab Installation Team then followed carrying out the construction of the 150mm deep slab utilising mobile concrete pumps and hand-lay construction methods. The slab was given a full powerfloat finish and sealed utilising a curing and sealing agent. Sawn induced joints were installed within 24 hours of slab install and joints subsequently sealed with Level Best’s instant saw cut sealant product.
The first two units on this West-Midlands multi-purpose development were completed by Level Best within 1 week. The industrial flooring specialist will be returning to Telford, Shropshire in approximately a months’ time to carry out the next phase of works. In the meantime Level Best will be mobilising to sites in Dartford, Devon, Exeter and Newcastle carrying out design and build industrial concrete flooring contracts.
