This new warehouse concrete floor constructed on behalf of Teemans in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire was installed with numerous specific details to suit the clients requirements. Level Best Concrete Flooring designed and installed the new 200mm deep concrete floor slab using steel fabric mesh reinforcement. Concrete supplied by the local Tarmac batching plant was installed by Level Best operatives in conjunction with the Somero S940 laser screed concrete flooring machine. This smaller laser screed concrete flooring machine is ideal for areas with restricted access and pre set reinforcement.
Level Best floor designers used different dowel types throughout the joint layout of the pour, which factored in the interface details with machine bases and pits to ensure the movement of the concrete during the curing process is allowed for.
The industrial concrete flooring contractors completed the warehouse area of 1,800m2 over a two day casting period, with the concrete finishing processes and sawn induced joint installation following on throughout the two day period.
