This high tolerance concrete floor slab in Wakefield, West Yorkshire was designed and installed on behalf of Kitwave by industrial concrete flooring contractors Level Best Concrete Flooring the Yorkshire based concrete flooring contractors.
Over four consecutive casting days the Level Best team installed 6,000m2 of concrete floor slab 175mm deep and reinforced with 1 layer of steel fabric mesh, placed in the bottom 50mm of the floor. The initial preparation using the laser controlled sub base levelling machine took three days to install and perimeter column isolation detail and permanent steel construction joints were all installed two days after. The whole operation was completely seamless, despite the country suffering from a materials drought and the finished product looked absolutely amazing and the Level Best estimating team are already negotiating the next project with the construction team. Following the successful execution of this warehouse concrete flooring project in Wakefield, Level Best moved straight onto the steel fibre jointless concrete floor slabs in Dartford, Kent.
