This new industrial park being constructed on the former Kellingley Colliery site on behalf of the Harworth Group, by a local main contractor required some high tolerance concrete floor slabs to help let the units more quickly to prospective tenants. Level Best Concrete Flooring was contracted to install the new warehouse concrete floor slabs in September 2021. The total area of 6,000m2 was split between three separate terraced blocks of various sizes to offer flexibility in cost for potential occupiers.
Due to the thickening detail beneath the floors to incorporate the potential of block work walls in conjunction with a gas membrane and two layers of steel fabric mesh, the units required the concrete to be poured via a mobile concrete pump. The pump was located outside of the industrial units and all the steel mesh was set up in advance of the concrete pours by the Level Best pre pour teams. On completion of the powerfloated warehsoue concrete floors in Kellingley, the joint installation team arrived to install the joints and instantly seal them upon completion with the innovative joint sealant Instant Seal.
