Yorkshire-based Level Best Concrete Flooring has recently completed the design and construction of two concrete floor slabs in Bicester, Oxfordshire on behalf of a longstanding client as part of a local speculative development, bring high-quality multi-unit industrial space to Bicester and the wider Oxfordshire area.
All industrial concrete flooring was constructed to the Concrete Society’s TR34 4th Edition FM2 surface tolerance to provide flexibility for the letting of these speculative industrial units. Constructing the floors to a high tolerance provides the client with a surface capable of receiving high bay racking as well as regular distribution, logistic and retail tenants.
These slabs were constructed utilising modern laser screed technology, with Level Best’s Delivery Team opting for the latest Ligchine machine due to its mobility and accuracy for multi-unit development like this one in Bicester, Oxfordshire. All concrete floor slabs were given a full powerfloat surface finish incorporating a curing and sealing agent, again providing the ideal surface for a variety of industrial, warehouse, logistic, distribution and retail uses.
Sawn induced joints were installed the following days with the sawn joints instantly sealed utilising Level Best’s instant saw cut sealant system. The revolutionary system instantly seals joints with a flexible product which provides arris protection for the remaining construction period, especially critical for multi-unit industrial development like this one with partition walls inevitably being constructed within the two units to provide multi-unit purposes.
On completion of this contract in Bicester, Oxfordshire, Level Best Concrete Flooring will be mobilising to Fleet in Hampshire on behalf of another repeat client, providing similar multi-unit speculative high-tolerance industrial concrete flooring.
