This cold storage client in Grantham, Lincolnshire required a new concrete floor slab to cater for the mobile racking system required to enhance production capacities at their busy cold storage production facility. Level best Concrete Flooring the cold storage concrete flooring specialists was contracted to deliver the concrete floor slab package from conception to completion. Great care during the concrete installation process was required to ensure the mobile racking rails were kept perfectly aligned to minimise any potential disruption for the racking installers.
Initial set up of the steel mesh and re bar took the concrete flooring contractors 8 days to install, with subsequent concrete pours carried out over 5 consecutive days. The high strength, heavy duty cold store concrete floor was designed by the Level Best “in house” team and the company look forward to more works, with the construction of another new cold store in Lincolnshire, this time in Grimsby, North Lincolnshire.
