Mixed-use multi-unit development in Kings Norton, Birmingham

The UK industrial property market has seen a massive upturn in demand for the development of mixed-use multi-unit industrial, commercial, and retail developments in recent years. These flexible developments provide a variety of options for occupants – constructed to high-standards to accommodate high-bay industrial requirements whilst strategically located in “last mile logistic locations” to facilitate a range of end-users.

The innovative service offering starts with the Bobcat subbase levelling machine, enabling Level Best to be in full in-house control of final subbase tolerances, ensuring the slab design requirements are met on multiple units.

Level Best’ also owner operate numerous laser screed concrete levelling and compacting machines. The fleet includes the largest boom laser screeds capable of levelling and compacting large areas and volumes in single workings days. The larger machines are accompanied with smaller more mobile boom laser screed and walk-behind machines. The combination of machines allows Level Best to maintain TR34 4th Edition FM2 flatness tolerances on mixed-use multi-unit schemes with difficulties such as internal columns, partitions, and mezzanines.

Level Best Concrete Flooring handed this West Midlands scheme over with fully complaint floors in terms of flatness and abrasion specification requirements.
