Level Best Concrete Flooring were engaged during the project design phase on this scheme in Shildon, County Durham, North-East England to produce a value-engineered TR34-compliant slab design solution tailored to meet the client’s specific racking requirements.
Level Best utilised their extensive industrial concrete flooring design expertise, in conjunction with a specialist slab design practice, to provide a value-engineered slab design solution – reducing costs, programme, carbon emissions and risk all whilst accompanying the client’s racking and forklift design requirements.
Works commenced onsite in Country Durham with the final subbase regulating work where Level Best utilise specialist laser-controlled machinery to regulate the subbase to an accurate level, grading and compaction providing; a level formation for the construction of the floor slab, a firm working platform for construction activity and to guarantee the slab design tolerances.
30,000 square foot industrial unit was then case over 3 consecutive installation days utilising laser screed technology techniques. A full powerfloat finish was provided in Shildon, County Durham, North-East England with a water-based curing and sealing agent applied to aid curing of the concrete surface. Sawn induced stress relief joints were installed on a pre-determined grid by Level Best’s TR34 floor slab design.
