Level Best Concrete Flooring has completed the design and installation of this warehouse concrete floor slab in Gainsborough, North Lincolnshire on behalf of a repeat customer. The warehouse was 90,000 square feet in size and the concrete was laid via laser screed concrete flooring machine over a period of 8 days. Details of the floor slab are listed below:
- Internal warehouse floor design in line with the Concrete Societies TR34 2013 edition
- Flatness tolerance FM2 as per TR34
- Slab depth 195mm
- Reinforcement 1 single layer of A193 steel fabric mesh
- Steel armoured construction joints at 40 metre centres
- Sawn induced contraction joints at 6 metre centres and sealed with Instant Seal sealant
- Water based curing agent and dust sealer
- Laser screed Somero SXP
- Sub base laser control install using Bobcat T650
The readymix concrete pours were up to 240m3 per day with concrete being delivered nearly 45 minutes away, which could have created the Level Best finishing team difficulties, however with the experience and vast amount of equipment available the floors looked perfect and a glowing reference was received from the customer.
