Modern large bay laser screed design and construction methodology was showcased recently in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire by Level Best Concrete Flooring. TR34 design and construction methodology was adopted by Level Best working on behalf of a Lincolnshire-based long-standing repeat client contractor. This method of construction allows:

Large bay laser screed services enable Level Best to place approximately 1500 square metres of concrete warehouse floor per day whilst maintaining flatness control. The warehouse floor specification of a FM2 flatness classification as directed by The Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34 document was achieved and exceeded in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
All 6,000 square metres of industrial warehouse flooring was levelled, compacted and placed utilising flood pour laser screed technology and techniques. The daywork panels were formed with permanent steel armoured high-tensile daywork joints providing arris armouring at floor level and load-transfer at mid-depth of slab. Steel fabric mesh reinforcement was installed on a progressive just-in-time basis by Level Best’s steel fixing operatives. Finally, a full powerfloat surface finish was provided in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire with a curing and sealing agent spray-applied to aid surface curing and future anti-dusting.
