The project comprises approximately 10,000m² of warehouse concrete flooring across five separate buildings in Cambridge. A key element of the project was the final subbase regulation, which was completed in-house by Level Best. This approach ensured full design compliance, improved programme control and delivered optimum service to the client by reducing reliance on multiple contractors. Careful preparation of the subbase played a critical role in achieving the required floor tolerances and long-term performance.
Concrete floors were levelled using advanced laser screed technology combined with mobile concrete pumping. This method allowed for efficient placement, exceptional flatness and speed of installation, making it ideal for a mixed-use multi-unit development of this scale.
