This busy and expanding haulage contractor based on the outskirts of Wisbech in Cambridgeshire required an extension to their concrete yard to cater for the increased traffic movements at the depot. Level Best Concrete Flooring was contracted to carry out the supply and installation of the external concrete floor slabs in extremely tight timescales due to the clients workload. Level Best had to minimise their “on site” programme time to just 2 consecutive days to allow sufficient curing time for the external concrete hardstanding, allowing trafficking when the client requires use of the extra yard space.
Due to access restrictions the concrete supplied by The Concrete Company was pumped to the working platform. On completion of the external yard concrete pour, the slab was spray cured and sawn joints were introduced to allow for expansion and contraction of the concrete floor.
