Removal and replacement of existing external concrete floor slabs, Leeds, West Yorkshire

This large production facility in Leeds had an existing concrete yard which was not suitable for the constant trafficking from delivery and collection vehicles. Level Best Concrete Flooring was contracted to carry out the removal of the concrete yard and replacement with new floors. The works had to be carried out within 5 working days due to strict access restrictions needed to allow the smooth trading of the business. It was “all hands on deck” for the industrial concrete flooring contractors to ensure that these deadlines were met in time.
The new concrete slab was constructed 25mm deeper than the previous concrete floor slab and so excavators were required to remove some of the existing sub base material and lay and compact new stone material. High strength and heavily reinforced ready mixed concrete were supplied and installed by the industrial concrete flooring contractors to ensure a quality end product with long lifespan was produced.
