Level Best don’t just carry out industrial concrete floor slabs for the commercial and industrial industries, we also have vast knowledge on agricultural concrete flooring. This agricultural client required a high tolerance concrete floor slab for his 2 new Turkey sheds. The total area of 1,800m2 in the 2 buildings was impressive carried out in just one day by the concrete flooring laying and finishing teams. Due to height restrictions, Level Best utilised a mobile concrete pump supplied by Rileys Concrete pumping to assist in the laying of the concrete supplied by Hanson Premix. The concrete was laid using the contractors Ligchine laser screed concrete levelling machine which had to navigate around the numerous columns supporting the sheds. The laser screed is a remote control and hence doesn’t require an operator to sit on the machine, which would be impossible with the headroom available in the building.
On completion of the slab casting process, saw cuts were induced at very regular centres to cater for a large amount of shrinkage from the polypropylene fibre reinforced concrete floor.
