Level Best Concrete Flooring has completed the anti-slip floor treatment to a waste recycling facility operation. The floor was far too slippery with the oils and liquids emanating from the food waste and it was potentially dangerous for staff walking within this section of the waste facility. Level Best adopted a 4 stage process to add traction to the concrete floor surface and basically make the floor safe for both foot traffic and loading shovels. Part of the anti-slip concrete floor treatment involves grinding with a very light grit to re-work the surface of the concrete and open up the pores within the concrete matrix. Chemicals are then added to the concrete surface to enable the skilled operatives to etch the concrete which then provides the anti-slip surface.
The anti-slip floor system is quite time consuming and with the live site being in operation throughout the day, the work was carried out throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning.
Level Best can offer clients anti- slip concrete floor systems for both large and small warehouses, including at level access doorway openings and internal walkways.
