Industrial laser screed warehouse concrete flooring specialists, Level Best Concrete Flooring, has recently completed the design, supply and laser screed installation of a speculatively build industrial unit in Fleet, Hampshire. Due to main contract sequencing of works, the first visit involved the construction of a 2,000m² floor slab. Level Best will be returning to Fleet, Hampshire to complete the remaining units on behalf of another repeat client.
As per all previous contracts with this repeat client, Level Best carried out their all-encompassing industrial concrete flooring service commencing with the final regulating levelling and compacting of the subbase, providing the correct working platform for subsequent slab preparation, membrane and slab installation works in Fleet, Hampshire. The final regulating trimming of the subbase is carried out in-house by Level Best’s very own Bobcat T-650 compact tracked loader and leveller, providing Level Best with total control of the subbase quality and providing the main contractor and client with total confidence in achieving programme.
The 2,000m² mesh reinforced industrial concrete flooring slab was installed on a “just in time” basis with the polythene, concrete and mesh going in directly followed by laser screed levelling and compacting utilising the Somero laser screed. The slab was constructed to a FM2 surface tolerance as per the Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34.
This project in Fleet, Hampshire showcases Level Best Concrete Flooring’s ability to be one of the most agile and mobile industrial concrete flooring contractors in the UK. This project was completed following a similar project earlier in the same week in Bicester, Oxfordshire on behalf of another client and contractor. On completion of the Fleet project, Level Best will be mobilising to Sheffield, South Yorkshire to carry out more industrial laser screed concrete flooring for a Yorkshire-based repeat customer.
