Level Best Concrete Flooring, Yorkshire’s most innovative concrete flooring contractor, has completed the first phase of industrial concrete floor works for a factory and warehouse extension for an expanding Nottinghamshire-based printing company.
Scope of works in Nottinghamshire commenced late 2021 with the floor slab design. Level Best offered a value-engineered slab design solution to the contractor and client to provide a more cost-effective flooring package guaranteeing a better aesthetic outcome whilst also improving the flatness tolerances.
Onsite scope of works commenced with the laser-guided final sub-base levelling, steel armoured joint installation, and typical anti-crack column isolation detailing. All elements of the floor slab were designed and included in accordance with The Concrete Society’s TR34 industrial concrete flooring guidance.
A 175mm mesh reinforced slab was installed utilising laser screed levelling and compacting technology. A client-driven bespoke graphite grey dry-shake topping was applied to the surface to improve the aesthetics of the slab for the client. Joints were induced by Level Best’s in-house saw cutting division and subsequently instantly sealed.
Level Best Concrete Flooring will be returning to Colwick, Nottingham in July 2022 to complete the second phase of the factory and warehouse extension.
