New warehouse facility for Siemens, Hull, East Yorkshire

This new warehouse constructed on behalf of Siemens at the new blade factory in Hull required a capable local concrete flooring contractor to both design the steel fibre reinforced floors and construct the 365mm deep concrete floor slab. Level Best Concrete Flooring was contracted by local contractor Hobson & Porter to carry out the design and construction new cast warehouse concrete floor slab.

The initial works commenced with the laser controlled subbase installation of the final stone layer. This process took 8 days in total, and the subbase levelling machine worked around the driven piles which were cut down to the underside of slab level.

Following the subbase levelling and then the subsequent installation of the steel profile construction joints, Level Best set up team installed the ancillary steel fabric mesh which formed part of the design to allow for the extreme floor loadings required by the client Siemens. Concrete was installed using the skilled Level Best Concrete flooring team which had to work long hours to pour the concrete to the depth of 365mm also in tandem with the laser screed concrete flooring machines within the fleet of the local concrete flooring contractors.
