Level Best are mobilising to Mansfield

Level Best Concrete Flooring’s site delivery team have completed a pre-start site meeting in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire ahead of starting onsite with the industrial concrete flooring warehouse installation works. This follows the completion of the office slab installation last month for a repeat client.

Level Best’s warehouse slab scope of works in Mansfield will begin with the final grading, regulating, and closing of the subgrade and subbase service. This operation, completed in-house by Level Best, ensures subbase tolerances are met in accordance with the slab’s design guidance whilst also providing a stable platform for subsequent construction activities.

The warehouse floor area of approximately 6,000 square metres will be installed utilising large bay laser screed concrete flooring techniques. A FM2 surface tolerance is required by the Mansfield-based client for high-bay warehouse racking and forklift operations.

The individual daywork panels for the 6,000 square metres warehouse floor in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire will be divided by installing steel armoured profile construction joints. These high tensile steel joint types, when partnered modern design practices, reduce and mitigate future joint breakdown issues by ensuring the majority of joint contraction openings are accommodate by the steel armoured profile joints and not the unarmoured sawn joint arises.
