Design and build industrial warehouse concrete flooring in Horsham, West Sussex

Yorkshire-based industrial concrete flooring contractor Level Best Concrete Flooring Limited were selected to carry out the design and construction of this internal industrial warehouse concrete floor in Horsham, West Sussex. Level Best were selected by a new London-based Contractor to carry out the design and construct works on behalf of Leicestershire-based national industrial development developer Tungsten Properties.

Level Best’s Subbase Levelling Team operate in advance of the laser screed concrete installation works carrying out the final regulating subbase blinding and surface closing to an highly-accurate +/- 5mm tolerance. They work in conjunction with the Slab Preparation Team carrying out anti-crack column isolation details, slab isolation details and galvanised construction joint installation to ensure optimal slab performance and specification.

This industrial warehouse concrete floor slab in Horsham, West Sussex was designed by Level Best’s partner engineering practice to 175mm thick C40 ready-mixed concrete reinforced with 1 layer of A193 steel fabric reinforcing mesh incorporating steel column surrounds and galvanised steel joint.

The warehouse floor slab was constructed utilising the latest Somero laser screed concrete flooring equipment to the TR34 4th Edition Floor Class FM2. The slab was given a powerfloat surface finish incorporating a solvent-based curing agent curing and sealing solution and sawn induced contraction joints were subsequently installed by Level Best’s experienced saw-cutting operatives.
