A gas membrane and A193 reinforcing mesh was laid just in front of ready-mixed concrete arriving from London Concrete’s Neasden, Wembley plant. The C40 concrete was compacted and levelled utilising Level Best’s Ligchine laser screed to a surface regularity of FM2 as per the TR34 4th Edition.
The slab was finished by Level Best’s two expert powerfloating teams, integrating a hardening curing agent and dust-proofing sealant. Saw cut expansion joints were induced into the concrete floor slab the following day to control shrinkage and sealed for durability.
Level Best predominantly construct warehouse floor slabs on industrial estates and development parks were space is plentiful. This project demonstrates Level Best’s ability to manage and construct specification-compliant warehouse concrete flooring in Central London where space and supply is at a premium – all whilst meeting flatness requirements, programme and achieving high-quality finishes.
