Industrial Concrete floor slab in Driffield, by Level Best Concrete Flooring

This client was looking for a concrete flooring contractor he could trust to carry out a really awkward and difficult concrete pour for a new industrial warehouse on the outskirts of Driffield in East Yorkshire. The client selected Level Best Concrete Flooring because he had worked with a number of the concrete flooring contractors key staff over the years and decided that they were best suited to carry out the concrete casting and powerfloating to this new warehouse. Early discussions took place with Level Best in order to ensure coordination with the other vital trades worked harmoniously throughout the contract.

Over 10,000 square feet of concrete was laid, levelled, compacted and powerfloated in just one day via the utilisation of a mobile concrete pump. Readymixed concrete supplied by Sandsfield Readymix was supplied with a 20% blended cement, which offers slight retardation of the initial set during slab casting. The brand new Wacker Neusson “ride on” powerfloats came into their own during the powerfloating process as the concrete set incredibly quickly in the temperatures experienced during the week. The Level Best finishing team were easily capable of handling the hot weather conditions and hence another high quality and high tolerance industrial concrete floor slab was completed by Level Best Concrete Flooring on budget and on time.
