Industrial concrete flooring contractors complete new design and build concrete floor slab for a warehouse extension in Goole, East Yorkshire

Level Best Concrete Flooring Limited the industrial concrete flooring contractors from Goole have successfully completed the design and construction of a new warehouse concrete floor slab on behalf of CePac in Rawcliffe Bridge on the outskirts of Goole, East Yorkshire. The “in house” concrete floor slab design team at Level Best opted for a 200mm deep slab with 1 layer of A193 steel fabric mesh reinforcement and saw cut joints at approximately 6-metre centres in conjunction with Permaban Alpha joints as the main construction joints. All saw cut induced contraction joints were to be sealed with Sawcut Seal on completion. Level Best Concrete Flooring was contracted to commence and complete works within a 2 week window. The concrete pours started at approximately 7 am and concrete laying finished approximately 12 hours later with powerfloating operations going on through the night.

The warehouse totalled 36,000 square feet and readymixed concrete supplied by the local Watts Mix plant was laid over 3 consecutive days utilising the Ligchine laser screed concrete levelling and compacting machine. On completion of the slab casting an independent flatness survey carried out by Flat Floor Consulting proved the floor had been laid to the tolerance of FM2 to TR34 2013 edition. As you can see from the photographs the surface finish of the completed concrete floor slab was to an excellent standard.
