New concrete floor slabs removed and replaced at waste recycling facility in Halifax, West Yorkshire

With Santa almost upon us, Level Best Concrete Flooring the industrial concrete flooring contractors from Goole in East Yorkshire has recently been revamping this existing waste recycling facility to remove and replace the external concrete hardstandings. A fibre reinforced concrete, supplied by the Breedon Group was selected in order to speed up the concrete floor slab installation process. The concrete slabs were designed at 185mm deep to cater for the extreme loadings from the client’s plant and equipment and also to cater from the impact of scrap being dropped onto the floors. The concrete slabs were finished with an “anti slip” rough pan surface finish to create more traction when trafficked by the loading shovels. Joints were carefully positioned away from the main traffic routes of the plant, to improve the longevity of the concrete floor slabs.
