Industrial concrete for slab, for new warehouse, Cross Green Industrial Estate, Leeds, West Yorkshire

A new 4,600m2 warehouse located on Cross Green industrial Estate in Leeds, West Yorkshire required a new cast insitu ground bearing concrete floor slab. Level Best Concrete Flooring from Goole, East Yorkshire was appointed by the main contractor to carry out the design and construction of the concrete floor slab. With heavy point loads from the high bay racking, the concrete flooring contractor designed a steel fibre reinforced jointless floor slab solution. Steel fibres integrated into the concrete mix, using the contractors conveyor system and direct discharge of the concrete mixer trucks onto the working platform took place. The Ligchine laser screed concrete levelling and compacting machine comfortably laid the concrete volumes of 330m3 each consecutive day. To suppress the steel fibres at the surface a dry shake sprinkle topping was applied and subsequently power trowelled into the concrete, to provide a beautiful surface finish to the concrete.
Level Best Concrete Flooring has carried out numerous steel fibre jointless floor slabs and have various reference sites all over the country. Should you wish the to view one of these floor slabs previously carried out by the concrete flooring contractors, then please contact one of concrete flooring estimators on 01405 819199 or email enquiries@levelbestconcreteflooring.co.uk
