Warehouse concrete floor slab in Bath, Somerset by industrial concrete flooring contractor

Level Best Concrete Flooring the Yorkshire based industrial concrete flooring contractors has carried out the installation of a new warehouse concrete floor slab on behalf of a main contractor on a speculatively built warehouse development in Bath, Somerset. Level Best Concrete Flooring was recommended to the client after carrying out similar concrete flooring projects for one of the main contractors sister companies. The cast insitu concrete floor was laid utilising the concrete contractors Somero laser screed concrete floor laying machine to the flatness tolerance of FM3 as per TR34 2013 edition. Readymixed concrete with a 30% blended material incorporating a superplasticiser was used to reduce the initial setting times as the nearest concrete batching plant was 35 minutes away and the ambient temperatures averaged 28 degrees. On completion of the concrete powerfloating process the concrete finishing teams applied a Sika curing agent and dust inhibiting compound to seal and protect the concrete surface, allowing increased moisture retention for the slab. Sawn induces contraction joints were then installed and subsequently sealed with Sawcut Seal joint sealant product.
