Industrial concrete flooring contractor completed warehouse floor slab in Dagenham, East London

Level Best Concrete Flooring the Yorkshire based industrial concrete flooring contractors have recently completed a new cast insitu concrete floor slab on behalf of a new client in Dagenham in East London. The concrete floor slab was 165mm deep and reinforced with 1 layer of A193 steel fabric mesh, supported on steel chairs.  Due to the complexity of the access to the building site and the height restrictions from the first floor steel work, the concrete contractors chose to pump the concrete into the building.  The Somero S 940 concrete laying, levelling and compacting machine was utilised in conjunction with the skilled labour force to ensure the floor was laid to the flatness tolerance of FM2 as per the concrete societies TR34 2013 edition.

On completion of the powerfloating process, the slab was spray cured with Sika Proseal curing agent and floor sealer and sawn joints were installed at circa 6 metre centres.   The sawn induced joints were subsequently sealed with Sawcut Seal joint sealant.  The joint sealant requires no curing or setting times as it is preformed and fits neatly into the sawn joint to protect the arris edges and minimise joint breakdown under trafficking.
