Factory floor removed and replaced during summer shutdown

Level Best Concrete Flooring has completed their third concrete floor removal and replacement project in the month of August, this time at a massive vehicle manufacturing plant in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Level Best Concrete Flooring are willing to take on very difficult concrete floor removal and replacement projects to extremely demanding timescales and are quickly forging an excellent reputation of operating-on existing factory floor slabs.

This particular project in Luton required two large bases to be removed and replaced in two different areas of the factory in just two weeks. The access for the concrete flooring equipment was extremely tight, with most of the plant delivered to the working platform via pallet trucks. The two layers of steel fabric mesh were lifted into the building by hand along long corridors as there was no other means of installing safely. Readymixed concrete with a 50% blended cement and high dosage of superplasticiser incorporated within the mix, was pumped 120 metres through masses of pipeline, which was set up the day before the pour as it took such a long time to set up.

The completed concrete floor slabs were powerfloated to high standards and subsequently sealed using a low odour water based curing agent upon completion.
If you would like a price for the removal and replacement of your existing concrete floor slabs, whether they be either internal or external, then please contact one of Level Best Concrete Flooring’s estimating team on 01405 819199. We will work anywhere in the UK and offer a very flexible service to cater for working restrictions.
