Speculative industrial units on behalf of Chancery Gate Developments, in Peterborough, by Level Best

Level Best Concrete Flooring Limited has recently carried out the design and construction of the internal cast insitu concrete flooring package for several new speculative industrial units in Peterborough. The concrete floors were designed in conjunction with the Concrete Societies TR34 2013 edition using a steel fabric mesh design solution. To cater for the potential loading scenario on the high tolerance floor slabs Level Best selected a 175mm slab design with 1 layer of A193 mesh. The main construction joint was armoured and intermediary sawn induced joints were installed at 5.8 metre centres. On completion of the saw cut joint installation, the joints were immediately sealed using Sawcut seal joint sealant to protect the joints under construction trafficking.
Due to access restrictions the floor was laid utilising the industrial concrete flooring contractors Somero laser screed and mobile concrete pump.
The floors were surveyed on completion and found to have met the tolerance of FM2 2013 edition of TR34, betterment to the FM3 specified by the client.
