Warehouse and maintenance facility, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Level Best Concrete Flooring are pleased to have successfully completed the supply and installation of a new concrete floor slab on behalf of Onboard Weighing Equipment Limited from Doncaster. The floor slab consisted of 2 layers of steel fabric reinforcement pre set in advance of the concreting process. The floor was laid using the concrete flooring contractors skilled workforce in conjunction with the Somero laser screed concrete floor levelling machine.
The warehouse required a flatness tolerance of FM3 as per the Concrete Societies TR34 2013 edition and hence Level Best took great care to rectify the concrete in its plastic state around the various intrusions within the floor. Powerfloating was also made quite awkward due to the floor slab inclusions and so the concrete floor finishing team worked continually throughout the evenings to ensure the floor was polished to the very highest of standards each day.
The sawn induced contraction joints were sealed on completion of the saw cutting process using the concreting contractors Saw cut Seal joint sealant product. The client was extremely pleased with the finished concrete floor slab and we look forward to returning to carry out the external slabs in a couple of months time.
