PLANNING PERMISSION SECURED FOR MAJOR RAIL MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN GOOLE

Planning permission has been granted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the development of a £200m rail manufacturing facility in Goole, East Yorkshire. The facility is being built to allow Siemens to build and commission trains on a 104-acre site, creating up to 700 jobs and a further 250 during the construction period, with an additional 1,700 potential UK supply chain roles. Level Best Concrete Flooring’s Director, Jon Wilcox, a member of the Goole Chamber of Commerce, commented “this is great news and a massive boost for the local town and it’s economy, employment rates and general development.
