Level Best Concrete Flooring, one of the leading innovators in the UK concrete flooring market, has recently completed the full supply and installation of a retail concrete floor for a large UK grocery retailer in Woodseats, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Level Best Concrete Flooring’s Slab Preparation Team worked in front of the Slab Construction Team to set up all necessary wall protection, anti-crack column isolations, insulation board and A193 steel fabric reinforcing mesh.
The retail concrete floor slab comprised 150mm thick C40 ready-mixed concrete with a French grey dry shake topping. The topping was specified by the retail client and architect to ensure that a more uniform and consistent surface finish would be achieved. Level Best’s highly experienced Powerfloat Finish Teams, who operate in subsequent shifts, worked the topping into the surface preventing any delamination.
