This new waste recycling centre in Middlesbrough required a durable and high tolerance industrial concrete floor slab installed to a tight specification. Level Best Concrete Flooring were awarded the contract to design and construct the industrial concrete floor slab to this new waste recycling centre. The total area of 4,000m2 was installed over a three day casting period utilising a mobile concrete pump and the concrete flooring contractors Somero laser screed concrete floor laying machine. The 160mm deep reinforced concrete floor had to encompass the internal drainage systems to allow the waste recycling facility to operate within the new legislations required for new centres.
The initial scope of works began with the installation of the laser controlled sub base layer and joint and column surround details, which was all carried out in house using one of the many experienced concrete flooring teams from Level Best Concrete Flooring.
