Cold store and freezer concrete flooring in Doncaster, South Yorkshire recently completed by Level Best Concrete Flooring. The Yorkshire-based contractor carried out the full design, supply, preparation and installation of the 25,000 square foot industrial freezer floor slab on behalf of a repeat customer.
All steel fabric mesh reinforcement and cast insitu steel armoured daywork joint installation was carried out by Level Best Concrete Flooring prior to concreting in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Due to limited access, mobile concrete pumping techniques with over 50 metres of pump line were utilised. A full powerfloat finish was provided and sawn induced joints installed along with instant saw cut joint sealant.
Due to the end-user’s racking requirements, a free movement floor class 2 was specified and required all as per the recommendations of The Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34. This was provided by Level Best utilising their latest investment, an electrical powered ride-on laser screed. The laser screed, a nimble machine weighing in at around 400 kilos, has recently been developed and is the latest machine on the UK market.
This investment proves Level Best Concrete Flooring’s constant strive into “innovation in concrete flooring” ensuring all clients and customers are serviced with the latest plant and machinery whilst reducing carbon footprint, a key driver through the construction industry.
